The Flood Warning continues for the Connecticut River at Northampton. * From Wednesday morning until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled. * At 10:00 PM Tuesday the stage was 111.6 feet. * Flood stage is 112.0 feet. * Minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast...rise above flood stage by tomorrow late morning and continue to rise to near 114.4 feet by Thursday early afternoon. * Impact...at 114.0 feet...flooding affects The Oxbow in Northampton...including Riverside Homes on island Road. Flooding also spreads across parts of Hadley...as well as lower lying sections of Southampton. In Hatfield...back water from the Connecticut River will push the Mill River over its banks flooding parts of valley street and surrounding areas.

The Flood Warning continues for the Connecticut River at Montague. * From Wednesday afternoon to Friday afternoon...or until the warning is cancelled. * At 10:45 PM Tuesday the stage was 27.0 feet. * Flood stage is 28.0 feet. * Minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast...rise above flood stage by tomorrow afternoon and continue to rise to near 30.1 feet by Thursday morning. The river will fall below flood stage by Friday morning. * Impact...at 30.0 feet...flooding of low lying areas outside of levee protection is likely from Greenfield through Hatfield.

A mix of sleet and snow will begin to mix with the rain through midnight...before changing to all sleet and snow. Some light accumulations are possible...generally less than an inch. However...this may cause area roadways to become slippery. Motorists are urged to use caution if encountering sleet or snow.
