Snow will overspread most of south coastal Massachusetts and
coastal Rhode Island between midnight and 2 am. The snow should
work northward along the eastern MA coast between 2 and 4 am.
Roads may become snow covered and slippery with most locations
below freezing. The snow will transition to sleet and then rain
from south to north between 4 am and 10 am... earliest across the
A coating to 2 inches of snow is expected across much of the
region before the transition. More importantly... roads will likely
be slippery for the Monday morning rush hour. Temperatures should
rise above freezing in all areas by late morning... so no problems
are expected for the afternoon commute.
