Statement as of 11:06 AM CST on November 12, 2009
The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at Red River Landing.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 10:00 am Thursday the stage was 51.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is currently cresting and is expected to
begin falling by late tonight. This river is expected to fall to
around 50.2 feet by next Tuesday.
* Impact... at 51.0 feet... all river islands along The Reach from Red
River Landing to Baton Rouge will be inundated. Recreational camps
and river bottom farm land will be under water.
