At 730 am...the National Weather Service Doppler radar in Shreveport indicated an area of scattered showers and thunderstorms extending to the south of a line...from near Mineola Texas to Longview Texas...to south of Shreveport...to near Jonesboro Louisiana...on to northeast of Monroe Louisiana...moving to the east near 25 miles an hour. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms to continue to affect parts of the region...generally south of Interstate 20...through 9 am. Rainfall amounts will be generally one tenth to one third of an inch with isolated amounts in excess of one inch through 9 am. Locally heavy rainfall will result in ponding of water on roads and in streets.
