... Flood Warning extended until Wednesday afternoon... the Flood
Warning continues for
the Sabine River near Orange.
* From Monday evening to Wednesday afternoon... or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 7:15 PM Sunday the stage was 2.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 4.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tomorrow evening and continue
to rise to near 4.2 feet by early Tuesday morning. The river will
fall below flood stage by Tuesday afternoon.
* Impact... at 4.0 feet... minor flooding of low lying areas near the
river can be expected... this includes areas south of Interstate 10
in west central Calcasieu Parish.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Sabine River near Deweyville.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:01 PM Sunday the stage was 27.9 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is currently in a long crest near
28 feet and this is expected to continue with minor fluctuations
in water level through tomorrow. The river will begin
to fall tomorrow afternoon or evening... but remain above
the moderate flood category of 26 feet through Friday.
* Impact... at 28 feet... homes and businesses in Deweyville have
water in them. Flooding of homes in the Indian Lakes and River
Oaks sections is expected. Flooding of roads and low structures
is expected in Calcasieu Parish... from near aligator park to near I-10...
including the nibletts Bluff Park area. Roads and low structures
in Beauregard Parish near the river will be flooded. Low-lying
roads in northeastern Orange County will be flooded.

the Calcasieu River near salt water barrier.
* Until Friday morning... or until the warning is cancelled.
* Flood stage is 4.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise back to near 4.5 feet tomorrow morning
due to an abnormally high tide and increased upstream river flows. The
river is forecast to drop back to around flood stage around mid week.
* Impact... at 4.0 feet... minor Marshland flooding occurs. Flooding
also begins on River Road in North Lake Charles.

the Calcasieu River at Old Town Bay.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:00 am Sunday the stage was 4.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 4.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will remain between 4.5 and 5 feet through
tomorrow morning due to higher than normal tides and increased
upstream flows. The water level will begin to decrease after
tomorrow morning... but remain above flood stage for the next
several days.
* Impact... at 4.0 feet... minor flooding of goos Ferry Road will
occur.
