Arctic high pressure will continue to build across the region tonight. Despite increasing cloudiness from the west... surface temperatures will fall to near or below freezing across the warned area tonight until shortly after sunrise Friday morning.

A freeze warning means sub freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.

A strong upper level storm system will move across the four state region Friday... and Friday night. With a cold airmass established over the region... the potential exists for areas of snow to develop... mainly during the late afternoon and evening hours Friday and Friday night.
The greatest potential for snow will be in an area extending from deep East Texas... through central Louisiana... basically south of Interstate 20.
Locations along a Lufkin Texas... Natchitoches Louisiana... to Jena Louisiana line... have the best chance at having some accumulation of snow... with up to an inch possible.
Flurries and some light snow will be possible along and just north of Interstate 20.
