A cluster of strong thunderstorms capable of producing 40 mph winds and torrential rains up to 2 inches was located 5 miles north of Enterprise at 604 am CDT... moving east at 30 mph.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes are also likely with these storms as they pass Fort Necessity and Wisner before 7 am.
High winds can bring down trees and large limbs resulting in serious injury or property damage. Exercise extreme caution when outdoors during such strong winds... and be especially aware of older trees.
People in southern Franklin... northern Catahoula and western Tensas parishes should monitor this storm closely.
