... Snow expected Friday for portions of the area...

A strong upper level storm system will move across the four state region on
Friday. With a cold airmass established over the region... the
potential exists for areas of snow to develop during the afternoon
and evening hours on Friday.

The greatest potential for snow will be in a band extending from
deep East Texas through portions of Louisiana basically south of
Interstate 20 during the late afternoon and evening hours on Friday.

Locations along a Lufkin Texas... Natchitoches Louisiana... Jena Louisiana line
have the best chance at witnessing accumulating snowfall... with up
to an inch possible.

Flurries and some light snow will be possible along and north of
Interstate 20 to an El Dorado Arkansas... Atlanta Texas... Quitman
Texas line.
