Colder air will spread into the area this morning... and any rain showers will probably change to snow showers in the high terrain near the Virginia border. Snow showers will be most likely on Black Mountain above 3000 feet... but other areas above 2500 feet... including Pine Mountain may also see snow showers. The chance for snow showers will continue into tonight at elevations down to 2000 feet. Up to an inch of snow is possible by Tuesday morning in locations above 2500 feet. Some roads which may be affected by light accumulations of snow include Kentucky 160 across Black Mountain... Kentucky 38 across Black Mountain... U.S. 119 across Pine Mountain... and U.S. 421 across Pine Mountain. Travelers on these roads need to be prepared for potentially slick Road conditions... particularly tonight.
