The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect until noon CST today. The Winter Storm Warning has been cancelled.
* Timing: light accumulating snow will be possible today. Rain is expected to mix in with the snow for a time this morning. Precipitation is then expected to change back to snow before ending this afternoon.
* Main impact: many roadways are snow covered this morning with temperatures at or below the freezing mark. Slick and hazardous driving conditions are present so motorists should use caution and slow down.
* Snowfall amounts: total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected.
Cold air will rush in from the west this afternoon and will cause temperatures to plummet. Wet roads may quickly refreeze this afternoon as temperatures fall. Also... gusty west winds this afternoon will take wind chills down through the teens.
