A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST /noon
CST/ this afternoon.

* Timing: moderate snow will slowly taper off through the morning
hours.

* Accumulations: an additional 1 to 2 inches of snow is possible.

* Main impact: plan on snow covered roads and dangerous to near
impossible travel conditions.

* Other impacts: the weight of the snow could result in scattered
power outages and downed tree limbs. Flat roof structures have a
potential for collapse... especially in areas where greater than
a foot of snow has fallen.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Travel will be treacherous with some roads nearly impassable.
Have an emergency kit of blankets... food... water and flashlights
if you must travel.

Statement as of 11:10 PM EST on March 04, 2015

The Flood Warning continues for
the Green River at Brownsville.
* From Thursday morning to late Friday night.
* At 10:45 PM Wednesday the stage was 17.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Thursday morning and continue
to rise to near 18.6 feet by early Friday morning. The river will
fall below flood stage by Friday evening.
* Impact... at 18.0 feet... river begins to overflow The Lock walls.
Secondary roads and islands upstream of Green River Ferry flood.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 18.6
feet on Mar 21 2008.
