The Flood Warning continues for
the Ohio River at Ashland.
* At 10:26 PM Thursday the stage was 51.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 52.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Friday morning and continue to rise to
near 53.6 feet by Friday evening. The river will fall below flood stage by
Saturday morning.
* At stages near 52.0 feet... minor flooding of roadways in low lying areas due to
backwater.
* A crest near 53.6 feet compares to a previous crest of 55.5 feet on January 10
2005.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Ohio River at Huntington.
* At 11:00 PM Thursday the stage was 48.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 50.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Friday morning and continue to rise to
near 50.6 feet by Friday evening. The river will fall below flood stage by
Saturday morning.
* At stages near 51.0 feet... West Virginia Route 60 east, Main Street, above pats
branch is flooded.
* A crest near 50.5 feet compares to a previous crest of 52.2 feet on March 13
2011.

Here is a Special Weather Statement from the National Weather
Service...

Outside of the flooding along the larger rivers... flood waters
across much of the area have receded. However... secondary roads
remain closed due to high water at some locations.

Any remaining high water should continue to recede overnight.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to
cross safely. Be especially careful driving at night as you may
not be able to see the water on the roadway.
