Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 4:38 PM EST Feb. 7, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 7 am Monday to 6 am EST
Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 7 am Monday
to 6 am EST Wednesday.

* Snow showers will develop at elevations above 2500 feet early on
Monday morning. Below 2500 feet... temperatures should be above
freezing... and a mix of rain and snow showers should develop.
All locations should have temperatures fall below freezing early
Monday evening... and precipation will become snow in all areas.
Snow showers will continue at times into Tuesday night... and
then begin to taper off.

* Snow will accumulate over a prolonged period... with totals by
late Tuesday night in the 2 to 4 inch range for most areas.
Above 2500 feet... localized accumulations around 6 inches will
be possible.

* As temperatures fall below freezing... roads and walkways will
become slippery... especially those which are untreated.
Localized heavy snow showers may also bring greatly reduced
visibility at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
