Statement as of 4:45 AM EST on March 05, 2015

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST this
afternoon...

* colder air will continue to move in from northwest through this

Parkway... to hal Rogers Parkway... to KY Highway 80 corridor.

* Snow of this magnitude will make travel difficult to
treacherous. In addition... the heavy wet nature of this snow
will cause stress on weak structures and could also lead to
downed power lines and trees with widespread power outages
possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

from heavy rain that occurred on Tuesday night and Wednesday is
leading to area flooding on creeks and streams in several
locations. Expect flooding to continue in these areas through at
least Thursday afternoon.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mount Vernon... McKee... Pulaski... Brodhead... Science Hill...
Waneta... Hazel Patch... donaro... Parrot... Jep hill... Welchburg...
Johnetta... Collingsworth... Royrader... Sand Springs... Cooksburg...
Lake Linville... Eglon... Muellersville and Morrill.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected.
However... all interested parties should take necessary precautions
immediately.

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.
