Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 8:25 AM EST Feb. 8, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 PM this
evening to 6 am EST Wednesday...
... Winter Weather Advisory is cancelled for early this morning...

The National Weather Service in Jackson has cancelled the Winter
Weather Advisory for freezing rain early this morning.
Temperatures have risen above freezing in most locations... ending
the freezing rain threat.

* Rain and snow showers will change to snow showers by this
evening... and temperatures will fall below freezing. Snow
showers will continue at times into the day Tuesday... and then
begin to taper off.

* Snow will accumulate over a prolonged period from this evening
through Tuesday... with totals by late Tuesday in the 2 to 3 inch
range for most locations.

* As temperatures fall below freezing... roads and walkways will
become slippery... especially those which are untreated.
Localized heavy snow showers may also bring greatly reduced
visibility at times.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
