... Flood Warning extended until Friday evening... the Flood Warning continues for
the Tug Fork River at Kermit.
* Flood stage is 38.0 feet.
* At 915 PM Thursday the river stage was estimated at 48.2 feet.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to have a maximum value of 48.4 feet after
midnight .
* At stages near 49.0 feet... grade school at north end of town and west of
Railroad affected.

Here is a Special Weather Statement from the National Weather
Service...

Outside of the flooding along the larger rivers... flood waters
across much of the area have receded. However... secondary roads
remain closed due to high water at some locations.

Any remaining high water should continue to recede overnight.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to
cross safely. Be especially careful driving at night as you may
not be able to see the water on the roadway.
