Special Weather Statement
Statement as of 4:54 AM EST on February 12, 2012

... Bitter cold temperatures early this morning...

A combination of frigid Arctic air and strengthening winds will
combine to create wind chill temperatures in the single digits to
around zero early this morning.

700 PM EST Sat Feb 11 2012

... Cold and windy winter weather continues overnight...

Lingering snow showers could lay down a dusting of snow this
evening. This combined with the refreezing of residual water will
make for slick spots across the area... especially on any untreated
surfaces... roads... bridges and overpasses. Motorists are encouraged
to drive cautiously and to plan extra time while traveling to their
destinations tonight and Sunday morning.

In addition... Arctic air that is settling into the area will set the
stage for some of the coldest air of the winter season thus far. Wind
chills will remain in the single digits... and even drop to around
zero at some locations during the overnight.
