...Freeze warning remains in effect until 11 am EDT /10 am CDT/ this morning...

* temperatures...temperatures will continue to drop into the mid and upper 20s. A hard freeze is expected...along with widespread frost.

* Timing...surface temperatures are expected to remain below freezing this morning until several hours after sunrise. The longest duration and coldest temperatures will affect the Bluegrass region.

* Impacts...Spring vegetation will be damaged or killed by freezing temperatures and frost.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Regional agricultural experts have noted the potential for a widely damaging freeze. Additionally...widespread frost will damage outdoor plants if they are not covered or taken indoors.

A trace of snow was reported at Bowling Green today. This is the first time snowfall has been reported at Bowling Green on April 15 through the period of back to 1870.
