northwestern Cowley County in south central Kansas...
Sumner County in south central Kansas...

* until 1100 PM CDT

* at 557 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain which will cause flooding. The line of storms tracking
southeast is producing hourly rainfall rates in the 2 to 3 inch
range which will likely cause flooding.

Arkansas City... Winfield... Wellington... Mulvane... Douglass... Belle
Plaine... Conway Springs... Caldwell... Oxford... Udall... Burden...
Argonia... South Haven... Atlanta... Geuda Springs... Latham... rock...
Mayfield... Cambridge and Milan.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected.
However... all interested parties should take necessary precautions
immediately.

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.
