A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from 6 am CST this morning through Monday afternoon. Precipitation has been falling overnight in the form of light rain across the watch area. A change over to snow is expected sometime today... but it will be slow to occur. Total snow accumulations will depend on the exact timing of the change to snow. If it occurs earlier than expected then accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are possible... however if it is delayed then totals will be much lower. Stay tuned for updates to the watch today. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
