A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 PM CDT this
afternoon.
* Location... portions of east central Kansas... west central and
central Missouri... including the cities of Paola...
Harrisonville... Clinton... Butler... Warrensburg... and Sedalia.
* Timing... light to occasionally moderate snow will continue through
the morning hours. The snow may mix with or change over to sleet
and freezing rain... mainly east of a line from Pleasant Hill to Butler.
The precipitation will end by noon on Sunday.
* Snow accumulations... additional accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are
possible with little if any accumulation of ice. Total snowfall
accumulations will range from 6 to 12 inches. Blowing and drifting
of the snow may occur with snow drifts to 4 feet possible.
* Impacts... roads are expected to be slick and hazardous this
morning. In addition... brisk north winds will cause blowing of the
snow which may temporarily reduce visibilities to below one half
mile.

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Motorists
should remain alert to changing weather conditions... and take
necessary precautions if travel is necessary.
