Statement as of 11:05 AM CDT on May 06, 2015

... Wind Advisory in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to 10 PM CDT
this evening...

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a Wind
Advisory... which is in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to 10 PM
CDT this evening.

* Winds... south 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* Timing... mid afternoon through early this evening.

* Impacts... strong cross winds may be felt along west to east
oriented highways... especially for high profile vehicles. Loose
outdoor objects that are not secured properly may be blown about
by the gusty winds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of at least 30 mph
and/or wind gusts over 45 mph are expected. Winds this strong
can make driving difficult... especially for high profile
vehicles. Use extra caution.
