Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 8:50 PM CST on March 03, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from midnight
tonight to midnight CST Wednesday night...

* timing... scattered light rain or sprinkles will continue to
affect southeast Kansas early tonight. However... colder air will
result in a changeover to mixed wintry precipitation late
tonight. A period of sleet and freezing rain is expected early
Wednesday morning before changing to snow. Precipitation will
gradually decrease from the north during the day
Wednesday... exiting far southeast Kansas by late Wednesday
evening.

* Main impact... a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain is
expected late tonight before changing to snow on Wednesday.

* Snow accumulations... will generally range from 1 to 2 inches...
with isolated 3 inch amounts possible near the Oklahoma border.

* Ice accumulations... should remain fairly light... although could
be enough to induce very slick roads... late tonight into
Wednesday morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of winter weather
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads
and limited visibilities. Use caution while driving.
