A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow and blowing snow remains in effect until 6 am CST Wednesday.
* Snow... heavy at times... is expected through this evening. The snow will end tonight.
* Widespread snow accumulations of 8 to 12 inches are anticipated. Snow amounts may exceed 12 inches across north central Kansas and in locations south of a line from Geneva to Franklin in south central Nebraska.
* North winds will increase to 20 to 30 mph by late afternoon and gust to around 40 mph. The winds will remain strong tonight and Wednesday morning... causing widespread blowing and drifting snow... and near white out conditions. Dangerous wind chill readings of 20 to 30 degrees below zero are expected tonight and early Wednesday morning.
* Hazardous conditions will continue this evening and tonight. Near white out conditions may occur and travel is not recommended.
