* Strong winds... blowing snow... and periods of light snow will continue through Christmas day across south central Nebraska and north central Kansas.
* Additional snowfall through Christmas day will range from 1 to 2 inches across north central Kansas... to possibly as much as 3 or 4 inches across areas northeast of Grand Island. Most of the snow on Friday will fall across south central Nebraska.
* High winds are expected to continue into Friday. Winds of 30 to 40 mph will be common... with gusts to 50 mph possible.
* Expect very hazardous winter weather driving conditions through Christmas day... with reduced visibilities... and ice or snow covered roads. In areas which experienced some of the heavier snowfall Wednesday... some roads may be impassable due to drifting snow.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Limit unnecessary travel if you can. If you travel... let people know of your Route and progress. Take some extra blankets and supplies in case you become stranded.
