... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Monday...
The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Monday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.
Areas of light rain will gradually mix with... and eventually change over to snow this evening and tonight. Snow will increase in coverage and intensity after midnight and last into Monday with storm total accumulations of 2 to 5 inches likely by Monday night. Locally higher accumulations to around 6 inches are possible in southeast portions of the advisory area... especially southeast of a line from Hebron Nebraska to Osborne Kansas. The combination of falling snow and north winds of 10 to 20 mph may also result in reduced visibilities across the area.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
