Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 8:50 PM CST on March 03, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from midnight
tonight to 6 PM CST Wednesday...

* timing... wintry precipitation will increase from the southwest
generally after midnight across central... south-central and
southeast Kansas... as a storm system intensifies across the
region. Precipitation will gradually decrease from the north
during the day Wednesday... exiting far southern Kansas by
early Wednesday evening.

* Main impact... snow will be the predominant precipitation type
with this system... although a wintry mix of sleet and freezing
rain is possible overnight into Wednesday morning over far
southern Kansas.

* Snow accumulations... will generally range from 1 to 2 inches...
with isolated 3 inch amounts possible... especially over
central and far southern Kansas.

* Ice accumulations... should remain fairly light... although could
be enough to induce very slick roads... especially over far
southern Kansas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of winter weather
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads
and limited visibilities. Use caution while driving.
