Johnson County in east central Kansas... northern Cass County in west central Missouri... northern Miami County in east central Kansas... southern Clay County in west central Missouri...

* until 330 PM CDT

* at 1237 PM CDT...National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rainfall across the advisory area. Rain gauge reports under the heaviest thunderstorms indicate rainfall amounts approaching an inch within a 15 minute time period across portions of Johnson County Kansas. These storms will continue to track northeast across the Kansas City Metro area.

* Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause minor flooding to occur...especially along small streams and near low water crossings.
