... Snow possible Sunday night and Monday...
An upper level storms system is forecast to move across northern
Oklahoma and southern Kansas during the day Monday which is
slightly faster than previous forecasts. This faster movement
could allow colder air to move into central and eventually eastern
Kansas through the day Monday and change rain over to snow. There
is still some uncertainty with how much cold air will move into
the area and when precipitation may change over to snow. Therefore
it is difficult to project any specifics with regards to snow
amounts.
If snow does occur... it will most likely start across north central
Kansas Sunday night and then spread east into northeast and
possibly east central Kansas during the day Monday.
Due to the uncertainty in the forecast... persons in north Central...
Northeast and east central Kansas should pay close attention to
the forecast during the day Sunday and prepare for wintry
conditions on Sunday night and throughout the day Monday.
