Areal Flood Warning
Statement as of 1:14 PM EDT on July 07, 2015

The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
DuBois County in south central Indiana...
western Orange County in south central Indiana...

* until 715 PM EDT

* at 112 PM EDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
very heavy rainfall from a thunderstorm over the warned area and
calls to local law enforcement reveal that many roads remain closed
due to high water. Heavy rain has stopped for now so the areal Flood
Warning will replace the Flash Flood Warning that had been in
effect. Stay up to date as more rain is expected later this
afternoon and evening.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.

Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 11:23 AM CDT on July 07, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch in effect through Wednesday evening...

The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for south central Indiana and central Kentucky.

* Through Wednesday evening

* multiple rounds of showers and storms are expected to continue
through Wednesday evening causing 1 to 3 inches of rainfall with
locally higher amounts in the 2 to 5 inch range. Areas that
receive the heavier bands of rainfall or intense rainfall rates
will be prone to flash flooding.

* Some rivers... lakes... and streams are also running high or are
at bank full. This additional rainfall may cause some minor
flooding in these areas as well.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
