The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
DuBois County in south central Indiana...
western Orange County in south central Indiana...

* until 115 PM EDT

* at 1008 am EDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
very heavy rainfall from repeated thunderstorms over the warned
area. Up to 2 to 3 inches of rain has fallen with additional heavy
rain expected which will likely cause flash flooding in some
locations. Emergency management reported additional roads are
beginning to close in DuBois County due heavy rains this
morning.

* Locations impacted include... Jasper... Paoli...

in addition... French Lick Municipal Airport... Youngs Creek and West
Baden Springs are included in this Flash Flood Warning.

Flash flood prone areas in this warning...
hunley creek overflows onto low lying area of County Road 1100
south.
Ell creek overflows onto County Road 400 south just north of
Huntingburg.

Additional rainfall amounts of up to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.

very heavy rainfall from thunderstorms over the advisory area. Up
to 2 inches of rain has fallen. With additional rainfall
expected... minor flooding problems may occur.

Heavy rains associated with this storm may produce ponding of water
on roadways. Motorists are encouraged to slow down and use extra
caution while traveling.
