Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 10:28 AM CST on February 28, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 PM this
evening to noon CST Sunday...

This Winter Weather Advisory is for areas along and northwest of a
line from Harrisburg Illinois... through Carmi... to Princeton and
Petersburg Indiana.

* Timing: light snow will spread eastward across the region this
evening... and continue into the overnight hours. It will
gradually change over to freezing rain and eventually rain...
as temperatures climb above freezing Sunday morning.

* Main impact: less than a tenth of an inch of ice accumulation is
expected over top of 1 to 4 inches of snow accumulation. The
higher snow amounts will be along and north of Interstate 64.

* Other impacts: untreated roads will become slick and hazardous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.

A record low maximum temperature of 26 degrees was set at Paducah KY
yesterday. This breaks the old record of 30 set in 2002.
