A large area of showers and scattered thunderstorms was spreading southeast into north central Illinois and will likely continue into northeast Illinois by 900 am but gradually diminish as it progresses eastward. The heaviest storms associated with this large area were in eastern Iowa and diving southeast toward the Davenport area. A thunderstorm was reported at the Rockford Airport at 719 am. Light to moderate rain is over Winnebago...Boone...McHenry...Ogle..DeKalb...Lee and northern La Salle counties.
