The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a
* Flood Watch for portions of Illinois and Missouri... including the following counties... in Illinois... Adams IL... Brown IL... Calhoun IL... Greene IL... Jersey IL... Macoupin IL and Pike IL. In Missouri... Knox... Lewis... Lincoln... Marion... Pike... Ralls and Shelby.
* Through late Monday night
* periods of moderate to heavy rainfall will affect the region beginning today. The potential for heavy rain will continue through Monday into Monday night as an upper level storm system moves into the Mississippi Valley.
* Expect gradual rises up to and exceeding flood stage on area streams and rivers through the period. Localized heavy rain could cause smaller streams and creeks to respond more rapidly than larger rivers.
