    The Flood Warning continues for
    the Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau.
    * Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
    * At 11:00 PM Friday the stage was 37.3 feet.
    * Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
    * Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
    * Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 36.5 feet
    by Sunday morning.
    * Impact... at 38.0 feet... the Broadway flood gate on Water Street
    closes.





    1114 PM CDT Fri may 16 2008

    The Flood Warning continues for
    the big Muddy river near Murphysboro.
    * Until Thursday afternoon... or until the warning is cancelled.
    * At 10:45 PM Friday the stage was 23.0 feet.
    * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
    * Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
    * Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
    Wednesday early afternoon.
    * Impact... at 24.0 feet... some minor flooding affects houses just
    downstream of bridge street in Murphysboro.
