An area of showers and isolated thunderstorms was spreading southeast into north central Illinois and Northwest Indiana and likely continue over Northwest Indiana through 300 PM. Light rain is gradually ending in southern Cook County. Light rain is over will...southern Grundy...northern Livingston...Kankakee and Iroquois counties to continue through 300 PM. Thunderstorms are in northeast Iroquois County in Illinois and Benton and Jasper counties in Indiana. The storms are capable of producing rainfall rates of nearly an inch an hour and lightning. Expect ponding of water on roads and in low-lying areas...and rises in area streams and creeks. The thunderstorms are moving northeast near 30 mph.
