Accompanying these showers will be gusty south winds of 25 to 35 mph...with an occasional gust topping out at 45 mph. The additional rainfall...combined with the heavy rainfall experienced across the area since last evening will lead to ponding of water on roadways with flooding possible in low lying and poor drainage areas.

* water is being released from Spaulding dam at Lake Springfield. Because of this there is substantial flow of water in Sugar Creek downstream of Spaulding dam. Additional heavy rains of a half to 1 inch through tonight could aggravate water levels more.
* If you live in the low lying areas below Spaulding dam on Sugar Creek... keep abreast of the situation and stay alert to changing conditions.
