Rain will gradually end from west to east in the wake of a cold front that moved across our region earlier tonight. Through 1 am...the back edge of the widespread rain will move east...passing across most of the region except the pennyrile region of western Kentucky. The rain will be locally heavy...with hourly rainfall rates up to one quarter inch. The rain will end as a brief period of light snow...especially across southwest Indiana and northwest Kentucky. No accumulation is expected with temperatures above freezing. The entire rainfall area will move east around 25 mph. Winds will remain from the northwest and increase to 15 to 25 mph...lowering wind chills into the 20s.
