Statement as of 7:06 AM CDT on July 11, 2009
... The urban and small stream flood advisory remains in effect until
815 am CDT for central Cook County...
At 701 am CDT... NWS radar indicates that only light showers remain
over the area. These showers will not cause additional flooding
problems but may slightly delay the clearing of areas where ponding
has occurred.
A flood advisory means that water levels will be elevated in
creeks... small streams... and drainage areas. There may be ponding of
water on roads and low lying areas.
