Wind Advisory
Statement as of 3:33 AM CDT on April 21, 2015

... Wind Advisory in effect from 11 am this morning to 7 PM CDT
this evening...

The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a Wind
Advisory... which is in effect from 11 am this morning to 7 PM CDT
this evening.

* Timing... strong winds will develop by late morning, then will
persist through the afternoon before gradually diminishing
toward sunset.

* Winds... west winds will increase to around 30 mph with gusts up
to 40 mph at times.

* Impacts... driving on north-south oriented roadways such as
I-55... I-57... and I-39 may become difficult. Unsecured outdoor
items will be blown around.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph or frequent
gusts of 45 mph or higher are expected. Winds this strong can
make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use
extra caution.
