Statement as of 10:34 AM CST on November 23, 2009 The Flood Warning continues for the Illinois River at Meredosia. * At 9 am Monday the stage was 437.5 feet. * Flood stage is 432.0 feet. * Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river is forecast to continue slowly falling to near 436 feet by Sunday morning. * Impact... at 436.0 feet... the city of Meredosia plugs storm sewer outlets. * Impact... at 435.4 feet... the Meredosia boat dock floods. 1006 am CST Mon Nov 23 2009 The Flood Warning continues for the Illinois River at Beardstown. * Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 945 am Monday the stage was 20.2 feet. * Flood stage is 14 feet. * Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 20.1 feet by Tuesday morning.
