* Occasional rain showers will continue today with additional rainfall amounts of around a quarter of an inch possible. Most of this additional rainfall is expected this morning. Storm total liquid precipitation amounts have ranged from a half inch to around two inches with the higher amounts across north central Illinois.
* Continued snowmelt early this morning combined with the recent rainfall will produce runoff due to frozen ground conditions that will result in continued rises on area rivers. Flooding across low lying and other flood prone areas will also be possible.
