Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 11:13 AM CST on February 28, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 PM this
evening to 6 PM CST Sunday...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow remains in effect from 6 PM
this evening to 6 PM CST Sunday.

* Timing... snow will begin to spread into central Illinois late
this afternoon... and east central Illinois by early this
evening. However... the heaviest snow accumulations are expected
tonight into Sunday morning.

* Accumulations... 4 to 6 inches are likely over much of central
Illinois. The exception will be in locations north of a
Rushville to Bloomington line... including the Peoria Metro area
and Galesburg... where amounts from 2 to 4 inches are anticpated.

* Wind... speeds are expected to range from 5 to 10 mph through
the period... thus blowing and drifting snow are not expected
to be a problem.

* Impacts... roads will quickly become snow covered and slippery
this evening through Sunday morning. Visibility will be reduced
to less than a mile in the heavier snow tonight and early Sunday
morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
