Some thunderstorms could become strong to severe this afternoon south of I-72 with heavy rains of 1 inch in less than an hour... frequent lightning...gusty winds and possible hail. The strongest thunderstorms through 1 PM will affect Champaign and Vermilion counties and near the Wabash River.
