falling. Rainfall amounts today have ranged from nearly one inch

An additional one inch of rainfall is still possible in the advisory
area tonight before precipitation changes over to snow.
Excessive runoff from this storm will cause minor flooding of small
creeks and streams... urban areas... highways... streets and underpasses
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
In hilly terrain... there are hundreds of low water crossings which
are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Also be aware that most
deaths from flooding occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to travel
across flooded roads. Find alternate routes. It only takes a few
inches of swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away.
To report flooding... have the nearest law enforcement agency relay
your report to the National Weather Service forecast office in St
Louis.
