Winter Storm Warning
Statement as of 6:26 PM CST on February 28, 2015

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 PM CST Sunday...

* timing... snow will continue across the region this evening.
There will be a bit of a lull later tonight... but snow will
reintensify on Sunday morning... esecially along and north of
Interstate 70.

* Accumulations... 5 to 7 inches of snow.

* Winds... south 5 mph or less.

* Impacts... the wintry precipitation will result in hazardous
travel conditions... especially on bridges... overpasses... and
untreated roads. Parking lots and sidewalks will become
slippery as well.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means that 6 inches or more of snow is
expected. The rapid accumulation of snow will make travel
extremely difficult... if not impossible. If travel is necessary...
make sure to exercise caution. Begin your travel with a tank
full of gas... and carry a winter storm kit which includes a
shovel... flashlight... cellphone... and blankets of extra warm
clothing.
