Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 2:55 AM CST on March 01, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening...

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening.

* Timing... snow will continue across the area into early this
afternoon. The heaviest snow accumulations are expected this
morning into early this afternoon.

* Accumulations... 4 to 6 inches are likely over much of central
Illinois... with isolated higher amounts possible. The exception
will be in locations north of a Rushville to Bloomington
line... including the Peoria Metro area and Galesburg... where
amounts from 1 to 4 inches are anticipated.

* Wind... speeds are expected to range from 5 to 10 mph through
the period... thus blowing and drifting snow are not expected
to be a problem.

* Impacts... roads will be snow covered and slippery through much
of the day. Visibility will be occasionally reduced to less than
a mile in the heavier snow this morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
