Snow likely in the morning...then scattered flurries in the afternoon. Blowing snow. Snow accumulation up to 1 inch. Total accumulation 1 to 3 inches. Highs in the lower 30s. Temperature falling into the 20s in the afternoon. Very windy. West winds 30 to 35 mph with gusts to around 45 mph. Chance of precipitation 60 percent.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST Wednesday.
* Timing: rain and freezing rain will affect the Illinois River valley into late evening... before transitioning to snow. This snow is expected to begin diminishing toward sunrise.
* Accumulations: snow totals of 1 to 3 inches will be likely... with the highest totals west of the Illinois River. Ice accumulations may reach a tenth inch... again mainly west of the river.
* Wind: the strongest winds will begin developing early Wednesday morning... as the storm system moves to the northeast and intensifies. Northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph will gust to near 45 mph by late Wednesday morning into the afternoon.
* Impacts: hazardous travel conditions are expected... as roads quickly become snow covered and slippery this afternoon and evening. Reduced visibility is also expected during the heavier snowfall. Blowing and drifting snow can be expected on Wednesday... reducing visibilities especially in open areas.

The Flood Warning continues for the Illinois River at Havana. * Until Wednesday morning... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 930 am Tuesday the stage was 14.2 feet. * Flood stage is 14.0 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by early tomorrow morning.
