... Flash Flood Watch now in effect from 10 am CDT this morning
through Thursday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* portions of southern Illinois... southwest Indiana and western
Kentucky... including the following areas... in southern
Illinois... Edwards... Gallatin... Hamilton... Saline... Wabash...
Wayne IL and white. In southwest Indiana... Gibson... Pike...
Posey... Spencer... Vanderburgh and Warrick. In western
Kentucky... Daviess... Henderson... McLean... Union KY and
Webster.

* From 10 am CDT this morning through Thursday morning.

* Showers and thunderstorms will produce widespread 2 to 3 inch
rainfalls. Some locally higher amounts will be possible.

* Strong thunderstorms will produce torrential rainfall that may
quickly inundate drainage systems... resulting in flash
flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
