... Half inch hail and winds in excess of 30 mph affecting
southeastern Bingham... north central Bannock and northern Caribou
counties until 700 PM MDT...

At 455 PM MDT... Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northeast of Fort Hall Mount Putnam... moving east at 20 mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Blackfoot Reservoir... Chesterfield Reservoir... Henry...
Chesterfield... Fort Hall Mount Putnam... cutthroat Trout campground...
Mill Canyon campground... Diamond Creek campground and Smokey Canyon
mine.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm... and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

If on or near Blackfoot Reservoir... get out of the water and move
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember... lightning can strike out to
15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder... you
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
